FRANK PARCO

 

We regret to announce the passing of long time member Frank Parco. Frank was a retiree of MTA's New York City Transit and was well known for his trolley and elevated subway contributions to the previous HO layout. He was generous to and passionate about our club and he will be missed.

Deny Martin

On November 4, 2009 the Ocean County Societiy of Model Railroaders lost one of our members, Deny Martin, in a tragic work-related accident at Monmouth Battleground, Manalapan NJ. 

Deny was a graduate of Freehold Township High School.  He was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop No. 66 and a member of the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association (TCA).  Deny was also an active member of the Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders (OCSMR).

His passing remains unexected and weighs heavy on our hearts...

 


Joseph Michael DiAiso

 

Age 62, Blufton, SC 

Joseph Michael DiAiso, 62, of Bluffton, SC passed away at his home on Saturday June, 29, 2013, He was born October 24, 1950

In Teaneck, NJ, and was raised in Freehold NJ. He moved to South Carolina in retirement. Michael was a retired Police Captain

Of the Freehold Borough Police Force. Michael was a member of the Freehold PBA and an avid member of the Ocean County Model

Railroading Assoc.

 

He is predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Sarah DiAiso. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jeanne McDonald,

His sisters, Madeline Demicco of Jackson, Roseann DiAiso of Freehold, Mary Jean Iorio of Howell and Joan Convery of Jackson,

His beloved dog Brandi, and many nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to his favorite charity, the Salvation Army.

Future notification will be made of a memorial services and a celebration of life.

 Leo DeBartol (1923 - 2014)

AGE: 90 • Manalapan

Leo DeBartol, 90, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 60 years. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was a salesman at George Chevrolet in Freehold as well as maintenance supervisor for the Howell Township Senior Center and Presbyterian Homes at Howell. Leo loved his collection of model trains.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, in 2010. He is survived by his two daughters, Dianne Ruggeri of Freehold and Janice Willett of Howell; three grandchildren, Kevin and Scott Wall and Renee Veneziano; and siblings, Tina Porpora and Joseph and Richard DeBartolo.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, Jan. 18th, from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Deborah Hospital Foundation, Browns Mills, NJ.
